We’ve Got Colds!
It seems like Patrick had just gotten over his flu bug when, lo and behold, he caught a cold! On Tuesday I noticed he was congested and had a cough. Wednesday his cough was worse and he had a runny nose, and yesterday the runny nose was worse. Then, last night I began sniffling and sneezing, and I had a terrible sore throat. I ended up not getting very much sleep last night. I hate having a cold when I’m pregnant! This is the third one I’ve had since December, and by far the worst. It seems like I am always catching whatever sickness Patrick has, and Patrick catches whatever is going around at church. Andrew never catches anything! I think this is partially due to my immune system being low on account of the pregnancy, at least that’s what I read somewhere. I really hope I don’t have too many more sick days before August, because it’s miserable to be sick when you’re pregnant. Getting sick and being able to take no medication is one of the worst parts of pregnancy, right next to being told that one must cut down their chocolate comsumption due to the caffeine content!
Sorry, babe! Hope you’re both feeling better soon. (Andrew stays well just to be annoying, i’m sure) 🙂
love,
annelise

My family and I can’t go a day without eating Nancy’s yogurt for breakfast with all of the probiotics (lactic acid organisms) that it contains. We can only find it at a specialty grocer down here in TX but it was sold everywhere in Portland. Because of Nancy’s yogurt (Eugene,OR), we rarely get sick, even though we are with the public every day. Maybe a daily diet of this would help to support your immune system. Aunt Karen 🙂
