Patrick’s Name For Himself
I’ve noticed that Patrick, when asked to say his name, or when referring to himself, says “Aah-pick”. Guess the name “Patrick” is just too tricky for him to say!!!

Sammy has suddenly become a grouchy baby the past few days. The culprit: he’s getting his first molar in. He’s been fussing all morning, so I just finished medicating him… and myself. All his whining was giving me a terrible headache!!! Patrick was no where near this fussy when he was getting his molars in. I think I might lose my mind if Sammy doesn’t calm down soon.
Also, today is day 1 in my attempt to potty train Patrick. So far he put on his big boy undies without a fuss, and has gone potty three times in the big boy potty. I’ve been using my handy Itzbeen timer (which I bought at Target for the new baby) to alert me when it’s time to take Patrick to go potty again. So far things seem to be going well… I’m just hoping this works!!!
We had a wonderful time at the fair again this year. This year was Sammy’s first time at the fair, and he had a lot of fun looking at the animals and trying out new foods that we only get once a year, like the YoungLife barbecue beef sandwiches and cotton candy! Patrick had a lot of fun looking at AND petting the animals, and riding on a couple rides. Andrew and Uncle Jonny got to do all the scary rides this year without me… although somehow I wasn’t too disappointed!
Here are some of the pictures we took:
Patrick looking at the sheep
Andrew and Sammy looking at the little piglets!
Cute baby piggy and his mommy!
Scary looking sheep… possible KKK members???
Patrick and I petting a little bunny
Patrick LOVED the car ride!
Around and around he went!!!
Andrew and Jon on El Nino, the ride that made me sick last year!
Patrick and Andrew on the carousel. Patrick was a little frightened of getting onto a horse this year, but hopefully next year when Sammy is old enough to ride, too, he’ll be over his fear!
Another great year at the fair. I just love living in Puyallup!!!
WE’RE GOING TO DO THE PUYALLUP!!!
(that means go to the Puyallup Fair for all of you non-Washington people!)
I’M SOOOOO EXCITED!!!!
Now wouldn’t you want to go to a college that had that handsome face on all their brochures???
Not only is he handsome, but he’s quite the party animal!
Watch out, Dordt… He’s got a Grove City College teeshirt, too, and he’s planning to get pictures taken in it and then he’s sending one in to be included in their alumni magazine!!!
