Tagged!!!
I got tagged by Kjerste, so here goes.
a junior in high school and beginning to look into colleges and make plans for my life. I was doing really well in my math classes, tutoring some of my friends on the side during class time, and I was convinced that I would become a high school math teacher when I graduated from college. I was learning how to drive and life was good :o). At the time, the people I hung out with the most were Monica, Alisa, and Margaret. During this time I had a big falling out with Siera, but our senior we made up and have been good friends ever since. It was also exactly 10 years since I went to Great Britain on a tour with my high school and no less than shook hands with Prince Charles… yeah, I still can’t get over that one ;o).
2. Things on my to do list today:
Well, the day is almost over and so I’m going to put the boys to bed and hopefully finish the Sweet Pea burp cloth I’m making for Kaiya before church tomorrow, so I can give it to her!
3. Things I would do if I was suddenly a billionaire:
4. Bad habits:
Since I no longer bite my nails, I tend to bite my lower lip a lot and it’s always chapped so I need to wear chap stick constantly. I also tend to let the trash overflow, Kjerste, especially in the upstairs bathrooms, so you’re not alone. Oh, and I tend to hoard chocolate in our pantry and it drives Andrew nuts :o).
Portland, Oregon; Elgin, Illinois; Chicago, Illinois; Biloxi, Mississippi; Puyallup, WA; Grove City, PA; Falls Church, VA; Fairfax, VA; and back to Puyallup again :o)
My first jobs were all babysitting. After that, I’ve done calligraphy work for Haven of Rest funeral home in Gig Harbor, I worked as a filing girl for my dad’s office, I worked as a dish washer at the cafeteria in college, I worked at a couple of the lobby desks for some of the girl dorms, I worked in data entry for administration, I made sandwiches at Arby’s, I did cashier work for K-mart, I worked as a management intern and then an assistant manager for Walgreens (my favorite of all), and I worked as a teller for Chevy Chase Bank in VA. Now I’m a full time mom and am starting my own fun little business on the side… coming May 1st!!!
I like to pick up everything with my toes. I have a substantial gap in between my big toe and second toe, and it works quite well as a clothes/toy/anything else picker upper. I’ve had people ask me if the gap is from wearing flip flops all the time. Nope, apparently there are family members on both sides who have this gap, so I think mine is extra big because of it ;o). Oh, and Kjerste, this is really too weird because I always reload my dishwasher too!!!! I hate it when people load my dish washer because they never do it right, and I have a special particular way that I like to do it to maximize capacity. I don’t even like it when Andrew loads it ;o)
My tulips and daffodils are blooming outside, the clematis and hydrangea plants that I thought I killed have come back to life, and the weather is finally getting warm enough to begin planning lots of trips to the park. Oh, and this week we had an unofficial opening of my new website, and I just mailed off the first items that were sold off my website this morning… I’m in business!!!!
Thanks for telling me about Diane’s website! I visited her site and
wrote to her about the carnival. I remember years ago
she was planning to study art but I didn’t really know if she’d stuck with
it. I hope she’ll submit something–she has so many great posts on her art
blog.
It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years since we were in England! Those were fun times. Oh, and I look forward to hearing more about your new business!
