Introducing…
Baby Boy #4
We are very exciting to be adding another boy to our family. I have to admit that during this pregnancy, the more I thought about it, the more nervous I got at the thought of having a baby girl. I am thankful to God for all my sons, and I know that this little one will receive as much love in this household as his older brothers have received. Plus, he gets a brand new car seat and, if I have my way, we’ll be redoing the nursery too! I’m getting a little sick of the ducks- we need something a little more boyish in that room!
During my ultrasound all I could think about was how similar he looked to this little guy:
I’m hoping that they’ll be good friends as they grow up!
I recently learned something new… There’s a term out there when two kids are born less than a year apart- it’s called “Irish twins”. Now I was recently informed that the term was originally a racial slur against Irish-Catholic families, who tended to have a lot of kids close together because they didn’t believe in birth control, so I apologize to any that might be offended by reading this. However, along the same lines as Irish twins, the term “Irish triplets” refers to when a family has three kids that are born less than 3 years apart, and it’s looking like we are going to have a set of those. Why not celebrate the last of our Irish triplets by giving him a good Irish name? ;o)
I look forward to meeting Seamus! 😉

Hi, little guy!
I’m so glad we’re having the same, now they can be friends! And hmm, good Irish names, I don’t know of many, but that’s funny you’ll have “Irish Triplets.” I know of several families like that, its pretty nice to get your babies all done at once! Have fun with the nursery and the car seat, etc!

Hey, it’s better than 4 girls d;
Seriously, though, boys are AMAZING. And I know how you feel, totally [I was so afraid that I’d burst into tears when I saw the 5th penis on the ultrasound..but I was just too thankful that he was THERE and that he was healthy!]

Kandi, I was so sure I’d break into tears, too, but when she showed me the screen and asked me what I saw, I felt a real peace come over me, and I knew that everything was going to be alright. And, I totally agree with you, I’d rather have 4 boys than 4 girls 🙂
