Free for Shipping…

September 23rd, 2009

I have two very beautiful used fall tablecloths. I can’t totally say that there’s no stains on them because when you have little boys things happen, but from looking them over they both look like they are in great condition. The problem is that they’re both 90 inch rounds and, well, we can’t fit our whole family around a round anymore so we’ve had to permanently add a leaf to our table… SOOOOOO, if you have a round table and want these, I will give them to you for free if you pay shipping, which will be about $10 in a flat rate priority box. Or, if you live in the area and want to pick them up to save on shipping, you’re free to do that as well 🙂

Also, if anyone is looking for premie or newborn boy clothes in excellent, barely-worn condition, let me know as I have a number of practically new items that I am selling for very cheap!

Need a Swing

September 23rd, 2009

I posted this on facebook, but I thought I’d mention it here as well.

I am looking for a full sized swing to borrow for the next 6 or so months. Our beloved Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Cradle Swing broke yesterday after going though 4 boys in five years. It really has been one of my favorite baby products and has provided much needing soothing for my boys for countless hours. However, since we are on our last child and the cost of the swing has gone up $40, it seems a little wasteful to purchase a new swing if I can avoid it. If anyone has one that they would let me borrow, I’d really appreciate it. I know that beggers can’t be choosers, but ideally I’d prefer to borrow another Fisher Price cradle swing, the kind that do the side to side or front to back motions. My boys have always seemed to really love these swings and we found ourselves using the side to side motion a lot more than the front to back, and I loved being able to have that option.

Thanks, everyone!

Two Months Old!

September 22nd, 2009

Liam turned 2 months old today. Where on earth has the time gone? It seems like we brought him home from the hospital only yesterday, and yet he’s become so round and chunky, and he has the most adorable little smile. He’s even trying so very hard to laugh, and will “talk” (coo) to us now. He’s such a little sweetie. Last week he slept through the night every night except Saturday night, when he decided to wake me up every 3 hours. Since then, he’s been waking up at midnight and 4 AM, and wanting to eat constantly during the day. I assume this is just part of a growth spurt, but it has been really wearing me down. Things are somewhat chaotic at home, but I keep on reminding myself that this is going to be the last time we’ll have a newborn in the house, so I’m trying to enjoy it as best as I can, even if it means a very definite lack of sleep or personal time 🙂

Other than that, things have been really busy the past several weeks. We had Rachel, Diane and Alex (Rachel’s fiance) all visiting from Iowa earlier this month, we had Liam’s baptism and Patrick and Samuel starting preschool, along with countless shopping trips for clothes and wedding-related stuff, a trip to Northwest Trek with a friend from high school and her four kids, and many many other things that have kept us very busy.  Since I don’t have a ton of time on my hands this evening (my father in law will be staying with us this weekend and the house is a DISASTER and will take several days to get in order at this rate!), I’m going to do a massive picture dump. Sorry for not being more thorough, but maybe one of these days I’ll actually sit down and do a really long, detailed blog entry 🙂

We’ve Got Smiles!

September 5th, 2009

Yesterday after deciding to do a marathon nursing session pretty much all day, and again this morning at 6 AM after being woken at 11 PM and 5 AM for feedings, Liam gave me the cutest little smiles!!! It definitely makes all the not-so-fun stuff (like not getting any sleep or anything done) worth it!

Liam’s 1 Month Visit

September 2nd, 2009

Today Liam saw the doctor for his one month well baby visit. He’s actually 6 weeks today- it was the soonest that we could get him in. He weighed in at 10 lbs, 5 oz! He’s growing like a weed!!! He’s actually right on average with the growth charts, but he seems so huge to me. Some of his 0-3 Month clothing is starting to feel tight and I’m contemplating bringing out some of the 3-6 month. With the three other boys, I didn’t even pull out the 3-6 M clothing until they were closer to 4 months, so this is all new to me. The doctor said that Liam was very healthy, and even remarked at how alert and calm he was. The “highlight” of the visit was Liam not only soaking through a fresh new cloth diaper the moment I put him in it and consequently leaving a big wet spot on the paper on the exam table (he is an extremely heavy wetter!),  but also spitting up all over my fleece jacket mere moments before the doctor walked in. He has NOT been a heavy spitter, unlike Ethan was, so it was totally unexpected and very gross! So, other than making a complete mess out of the exam table and me, things are great. He even took his Hepatitis B vaccination very well- he cried for about 30 seconds before he calmed himself down and fell asleep the way home from the hospital. He’s such a good baby, I’m totally smitten with him!
