Two Months Old!

Liam turned 2 months old today. Where on earth has the time gone? It seems like we brought him home from the hospital only yesterday, and yet he’s become so round and chunky, and he has the most adorable little smile. He’s even trying so very hard to laugh, and will “talk” (coo) to us now. He’s such a little sweetie. Last week he slept through the night every night except Saturday night, when he decided to wake me up every 3 hours. Since then, he’s been waking up at midnight and 4 AM, and wanting to eat constantly during the day. I assume this is just part of a growth spurt, but it has been really wearing me down. Things are somewhat chaotic at home, but I keep on reminding myself that this is going to be the last time we’ll have a newborn in the house, so I’m trying to enjoy it as best as I can, even if it means a very definite lack of sleep or personal time 🙂

Other than that, things have been really busy the past several weeks. We had Rachel, Diane and Alex (Rachel’s fiance) all visiting from Iowa earlier this month, we had Liam’s baptism and Patrick and Samuel starting preschool, along with countless shopping trips for clothes and wedding-related stuff, a trip to Northwest Trek with a friend from high school and her four kids, and many many other things that have kept us very busy.Â Since I don’t have a ton of time on my hands this evening (my father in law will be staying with us this weekend and the house is a DISASTER and will take several days to get in order at this rate!), I’m going to do a massive picture dump. Sorry for not being more thorough, but maybe one of these days I’ll actually sit down and do a really long, detailed blog entry 🙂
