We’ve had a lot happen lately, and things have been quite busy around here. Last weekend Andrew and I celebrated our 5th anniversary by going up to Victoria for a couple nights. It was an incredibly relaxing and rejuvinating weekend. We stayed at a beautiful little Tutor style bed and breakfast and were incredibly pampered by the hotel. I even was able to get a massage and spa treatment. It was so much fun! We took a ton of pictures, but for some reason the photo upload isn’t working on the blog right now, or else I’d include them. I’ll have to get Andrew to fix the blog 😛
Besides our trip to Victoria, I’ve been qutie busy with my little hobby business. Thanks to some very happy customers, I’ve suddenly found my name popping up on different cloth diapering boards, full of praises and recommendations to others. I’ve had such a high demand for custom embroidery and a few specialty items, that I’ve decided to open up a second online storefront. On August 15th, we will be having the grand opening of our hyena cart website, www.hyenacart.com/sarahsbabyboutique. The hyena cart will allow me to do auctions and lotteries, which are really neat features. I will be selling mainly cloth diapering-related items on this site, though there will also be some cute dress sets and other unique items.
The boys have been doing really well. Patrick is just growing up so fast. He really loves to do things with Andrew. One of the latest things he likes to talk about is how he and Daddy are going to go on a rocketship, and that Mommy, Sammy and Ethan are going to not go on the rocketship, but we will go to the beach instead. He also is trying to be more and more independent now. He dresses himself, pours his own cereal and milk, helps me wash dishes, and so much more. He’s a funny little boy.
Sammy is becoming a lot of trouble. He’s got some good fine motor skills, and uses them to get into EVERYTHING. He’s also still my cuddlebear. He tries to pretend that he’s a mean boy sometimes, but you poke his tummy and he’ll break out in a hearty belly laugh. He’s so silly!
Ethan is starting to really pack on the pounds finally. He’s getting so big, and he’s really starting to develop as well. He loves to test his vocal chords and will oftentimes sit in his crib making loud squeals, enjoying his ability to make noise. He’s also becoming a lot of trouble. He can roll and scoot himself around the house now, and he loves to chew on anything he can get his mouth on. He loves to pull diaper covers off a low shelf and play with them. He gets incredibly angry when you take anything away from him. This includes half chewed on lists at the grocery store. Andrew and I think he might turn out to be the most active of the three boys.
I’m sure I’m forgetting a lot of updates, but I would have to go on for hours to tell my readers everything that is happening in this crazy household full of boys!
